Optimum Group Fitness Training Pyramid of Success
Group Fitness Training
Adjustments * Adherence * Accountability
You’ve made the decision to increase your fitness, and we’re here to help you along. We warmly welcome you to our facility and our expert staff and trainers would love to discuss your goals and how we can help you meet them.
Our Optimum Group Fitness Training (GFT) Pyramid of Success incorporates all forms of training in an integrated fashion as part of a progressive system. The GFT Pyramid of Success was designed to help people of all fitness levels follow a safe, effective, and gradient group exercise conditioning experience. It is a periodization system, where each level of group training prepares the body for the demands of the next, more intense level.
Our GFT Pyramid of Success is divided into four different levels:
Level 1: Posture Perfect- This group training program utilizes corrective exercise techniques to address common muscle imbalances associated with poor posture and the increased likelihood of various musculoskeletal complications associated with it (i.e. low back pain, neck pain, shoulder injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc).
Level 2: Tabata Boot Camp- This group training ,program places more emphasis on how to perform correct exercise techniques using only your body weight and other light weights (i.e. kettle bells, bokken swords) for resistance. It is important to note, however, that this program utilizes HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) timed protocols.
Level 3: PowerFit- In this program we take the knowledge you gained from Tabata Boot Camp and apply it to a more intense Strength and Power specific conditioning program. With the use of dumbells, bumper plate loaded barbells, medicine balls, ropes, etc., PowerFit takes your training to a whole new level.
Level 4: Muay Thai- In this level we take all the conditioning you achieved from the last three levels and apply it in a more functional manner. Although NOT designed to train participants on actual hand-to-hand combat, this program utilizes the various hand, elbow, knee, and foot techniques used in the sport of Muay Thai.
Optimum Personal Fitness Training Pyramid of Success
Our Optimum Personal Fitness Training (PFT) Pyramid of Success incorporates all forms of training in an integrated fashion as part of a progressive system. Training protocols include corrective exercises, strength, flexibility, cardiorespiratory, core, balance and power training. The PFT Pyramid of Success was designed to help people of all fitness levels follow a safe, effective, and gradient exercise program. This program is specifically designed to systematically progress any client to any goal. It is a periodization system, where each phase of training prepares the body for the demands of the next, more intense, phase.
Our PFT Pyramid of Success is divided into four different phases—corrective exercise, stabilization, strength and power:
Phase 1: Corrective Exercise Training- Corrective exercise helps to reduce injury potential and over-training, and to ensure continual results. Corrective exercise focuses on keeping all the joints, muscles, and bones in our body in proper alignment through continual improvements in flexibility, the ability of muscles to work at their optimal levels (activation), and all your muscles working together as a team (integration) during exercise, athletics, and the activities of daily living or occupation.
Phase 2: Stabilization- The second phase of training is Stabilization and focuses on the main adaptation of stabilization or anatomical adaptation and is designed to prepare the body for the demands of higher levels of training that may follow. This period is crucial for all beginners. In addition, it allows the body to rest from more intense bouts of training.
Phase 3: Integrated Strength Training- The third phase of training is Strength Training and helps to improve both strength and endurance. This style of training allows for increased motor-unit recruitment after the prime movers have fatigued and enhances dynamic joint stabilization while improving prime mover strength.
Phase 4: Power- The fourth phase of training is Power and is designed to increase speed of muscle contraction. This form of training uses the adaptations of stabilization and strength acquired in the previous phases of training and applies them with more realistic speeds and forces that the body will encounter in everyday life and/or sport.
